What the Rally...?

It's a question we get asked time and time again - although it's usually phrased along the lines of "What are you two crazy women up to now...?".

In a nutshell, we'll be driving from Adelaide to Perth via Oodnadatta in the Shitbox Rally Autumn 2024.

Two friends, costumes, 80’s music, hours and hours talking, 224 other teams, in a car worth under $1500, what could be more fun than that?

....and what could possibly go wrong?

Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 14th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the Autumn 2024 rally target set at $2,000,000 plus. These funds go to Cancer Council to raise much-needed funds for cancer research.

This adventure will involve a tutu (or two), dust, mud, camping, lots and lots of driving, music, meeting new people and probably changing a tyre or two as well as learning a bit more about how to keep a car running day after day.

It’s going to be so much fun!!!!!!

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Our Mission

  • To do our part in helping find a cure for cancer.  As we are definitely not researchers or doctors we thought our part to play was in the fundraising side of things.

  • Supporting rural Women and rural communities.  We have both spent most/all of our lives in rural and remote communities and understand the challenges.  Shitbox Rally on average contributes up to $85,000 in revenue into each remote stopover.  We are looking forwarding to meeting these communities and supporting them on the rally.

  • Honoring friends and loved ones, past and present, who live with Cancer. Each one has touched our hearts and left a legacy of strength and courage.  We love and honour them and those who share their journey as carers, family and friends.
